SHP Guest Account Access Form

Guest Request System is an enterprise self-service tool that enables a guest to submit request(s) to obtain a digital identity at Rutgers University. The request will be submitted for approval to the appropriate sponsor. Once the request is approved, the departments’ guest administrators process the request and the guest is notified with instructions to obtain and activate their digital identifier called a NetID.

Instructions: 

  • Please have the guest user or department sponsor enter their request via the following link. https://requests.rutgers.edu/app/ui/#guestrequest
  • Providing a Social Security Number (SSN) will prevent creation of a duplicate account and delays in approval.
  • Please be sure to select “RBHS” from the Campus dropdown menu.
  • After successful submission of the request, the sponsor will receive a system email directing them to provide approval for the request.
  • After the sponsor approves, a guest administrator will process the request to assign the guest role.
  • A confirmation email will be sent to the guest and sponsor with instructions on how to activate the NetID.

Things to Note: 

  •  If your guest is from outside the US and does not have a SSN, please let the Office of Faculty Affairs and Personnel Administration (FAPA) Office know immediately.
  • Guest accounts are granted for 18 months by system default if the sponsor does not provide a start and end date. The account cannot be active for more than 18 months at a time.
  • The system will provide the guest with a “Rutgers.edu” email account. To obtain a “shp.rutgers.edu” account please contact Vernon Cabalfin in Technology Services at vernon.cabalfin@shp.rutgers.edu
