SHP Undergraduate Application Instructions
Are you a Rutgers University–Newark student applying to a joint undergraduate program at Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP)?
Follow the steps below to prepare and submit your application.
1. Eligible Programs and Admission Terms
The following SHP undergraduate programs participate in joint partnerships with Rutgers–Newark:
- B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science: Fall admission
- B.S. in Health Information Management: Fall admission
- B.S. in Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Psychology: Fall and Spring admission
2. Meet with your Academic Advisor
Before applying, contact the Rutgers University–Newark Office of Academic Services to review your academic plan and confirm that you are on track to meet academic requirements.

3. Submit Your Application
Joint applicants must apply through the [Rutgers Undergraduate Admissions School-to-School Transfer Application: Rutgers Undergraduate Admissions – School-to-School Transfer
Application fee: Joint applicants are not required to pay an application fee.
After applying: Email shpadm@shp.rutgers.edu to notify the SHP Office of Admissions that you have submitted your application. Include the name of the program to which you applied.
4. Review Program Requirements
Before applying, review the requirements for your intended program, including prerequisite coursework and applicable general education requirements.
