Student Health & Wellness Services

Welcome to Student Health Services

Rutgers SHP provides health services to students on its various campuses through Student Health Centers. All students who pay tuition directly to Rutgers SHP in full-time day programs located on the Newark and New Brunswick/Piscataway are required to pay the health service fee and may receive services from the campus health centers. Services may differ for students enrolled in joint programs.

COVID Vaccine Requirement

SHP students who attend courses in person or are enrolled in a program that requires a clinical placement, field work, clerkships, or in person projects/meetings as part of completing the program, are required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and submit proof of vaccination by August 1, 2021.

COVID Vaccine Upload Instructionshttps://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine/

To upload your document, it takes less than two minutes. Please upload your documents here: Rutgers Immunization Portal.

If you are filing for an exemption from the vaccine, exemption requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis; they are NOT automatically granted. The exemption request form is available to enrolled students by accessing the Rutgers Student Immunization Portal. A valid student NetID and password are required to access the immunization portal. For more details, please use link https://coronavirus.rutgers.edu/covid-19-vaccine/. The review time for exemption request is approximately 4 weeks.

If you believe that you have already uploaded your COVID vaccine record and this information is inaccurate, please log into https://patientrbhs.medicatconnect.com and check to see if you have a verified COVID vaccine listed in your immunization record. You should go to the immunization tab and press PRINT – this will print out your immunization record and you can see if your COVID vaccines are listed. If you don’t see the vaccine, you should upload your vaccine card again to: https://patient-rbhs.medicatconnect.com

COVID Vaccine Compliance

SHP students who are not fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and are not approved to be exempt from the requirement, will be de-registered for Fall 2021 but have the option to request a Leave of Absence for the Fall 2021 semester to avoid administrative withdrawal while awaiting further information for Spring 2022 requirements. Updates about the COVID-19 Vaccine requirement at Rutgers and answers to any other questions about the vaccination requirement can be found on the Rutgers University COVID-19 Vaccine website.
