Research and scholarship support for the School of Health Professions faculty
The SHP Methodology and Statistics Support Team (MSST) is part of the SHP Office of Research. Our purpose is to help SHP faculty plan, develop, and carry out research. We also provide support to “get the word out” (i.e., scholarly publications, professional presentations).
If it involves turning your great idea into a scholarly publication we can either help you or hook you up with someone who can (e.g., Office of Faculty Development or SHP grant support resources).

SHP Internal Funding Opportunities
We are pleased to highlight the SHP Dean’s Intramural Grant Program opportunity. This opportunity is for SHP faculty to develop research projects for extramural funding, provides short-term funding to established projects during a funding gap and facilitate cross-departmental and/or cross-program pedagogy and implementation to allow a proof of concept for innovative instruction that includes multiple disciplines in the design as well as execution.
This would be done through Research Seed Grants, Bridge Grants or Collaborative Educational Innovation Pilot Grants. Please limit your grants to only 1 of the 3 types of grants.
Student Research
The School of Health Professions offers wonderful networking opportunites for students and faculty members from different departments within our School, and to augment faculty-student interactions through research and scholarship.
Students work on research or a scholarly activity project with faculty members during the summer.
