Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD)

Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT)

Our nationally ranked, entry-level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is a three-year, full-time degree program that prepares students for practice in physical therapy. This program offers:
Foundational Knowledge: Clinical experiences provide our students with the opportunity to integrate academic course work with practical experiences in the clinical setting.
Hands-On Experience: Through peer teaching, and early involvement of students in a student-led pro bono clinic, we empower our students for excellence in clinical practice.
Professional Development: Students affiliate at a variety of practice settings which include acute-care hospitals, long-term care facilities, outpatient facilities, private practices, and rehabilitation hospitals.

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)

Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
Our Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) program emphasizes service delivery for multiethnic, socially diverse populations with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This program offers:
Clinical Experience: trained graduate-student clinicians provide targeted services at our pro bono Speech-Language Pathology Clinic serving the Newark community.
Service Learning: Our students spend their first three semesters learning together in small, in-person classes, while also treating clients in our pro bono Clinic.
Expert Faculty: Learn from experienced and dedicated faculty members who are leaders in the profession.
Clinical Placement: Students complete two full-time extern placements in a wide variety of medical, educational, and private practice settings.
