About
Elizabeth Schmidt attended Creighton University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology in 2007. She went on to receive her Masters of Science from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) physician assistant program in 2010.
After graduation, Elizabeth started her career in HIV/Internal Medicine followed by a brief stint as a Hospitalist before settling into Immunocompromised Infectious Disease caring for cancer and solid organ transplant patients with infections. She continues to practice ID full time for the last 10 years.
She is currently working for Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Additionally, she is also an adjunct instructor with the Rutgers University Physician Assistant Program. She serves as a clinical advisor and clinical preceptor for the program.
