About

Raquel Perez is a dedicated educator in the field of medical imaging and is focusing her research on breast cancer screening disparities in minority women. Currently holding a position as faculty at Rutgers University and committed to providing quality education and training to aspiring medical professionals. As an educator in medical imaging,
Mrs. Perez specializes in teaching future registered Radiologist Assistants, including essential techniques utilized in Fluoroscopy, MRI, CAT scan, and Mammography. Mrs. Perez holds multiple degrees in the field of Medical Imaging. Her extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of these imaging modalities allow her students to gain valuable insight into the intricacies of the field. With her guidance, future medical professionals acquire the skills necessary to assist in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions.
Beyond her role as an educator, she is also actively involved as a mammographer and in research related to public health issues in New Jersey with CINJ. In addition to her academic and research pursuits, she actively engages with various professional organizations and community outreach programs related to Public Health. Her passion for teaching and dedication to improving health outcomes have earned her a reputation as a compassionate and knowledgeable contributor to advancing medical imaging and breast cancer awareness in marginalized populations.
