Dietetic Internship

The dietetic internship will reopen in Fall 2023 with a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition with our School of Public Health. We went on active status with the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) in early 2022.

The Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) graduated our 47^th class of dietetic interns in May 2019. As you know, our Department is committed to entry-level dietetic education and this change was part of our transition to become the U.S.’s first accredited Future Model Graduate program which includes experiential learning (clerkships reflect the rotations).  Our new entry-level Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition program’s first class started in Fall 2018. Information for the Future Education Model can be found here.  This is an exciting development for the profession and SHP.  Some of you may also be preceptors for these students in their clerkships.
