About

Frank Giannelli received his undergraduate degree in engineering from Lafayette College. While working as an engineer, he was also volunteering as an EMT when he recognized the importance of primary care and preventative medicine in keeping patients healthy. This led him to enroll in the UMDNJ (now Rutgers) PA Program.
After graduating PA school, he worked in Family Medicine at a Federally Qualified Health Center through the National Health Service Corps Scholarship Program. Upon completion of his service, Dr. Giannelli joined the Rutgers PA program full time in 2016 and earned a Ph.D. in Urban Health Systems. His teaching responsibilities include teaching courses related to health promotion across the lifespan, the social determinants of health, and cultural humility.
In addition, he gives lectures on men’s health and EKG interpretation, and facilitates small group sessions on medical Interviewing and physical diagnosis. He is the Director of the Rutgers PA Program faculty-run H.O.P.E. Clinic in Plainfield, NJ where he continues to practice and precept students.
