About
I am a licensed Occupational Therapist with more than 22 years of experience. I have dedicated my clinical practice to working with children and youth, from birth to 21 years old, with clinical experiences spanning across early intervention, public and private schools, and pediatric outpatient rehabilitation settings. I also hold two specialty certifications in Sensory Integration and Neurodevelopmental Treatment.
My master’s thesis explored the use of a sensory integrative approach in the classroom of a child with autism, which provided the scaffolding for my interest in education and school-based practice, as well as an opportunity to understand neurodiversity and autism within the school setting. My doctoral project focused on evaluating factors that impact occupational therapy recommendations in school-based practice.
Currently, in my role as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, I am working to build relationships with with community partners throughout the state of New Jersey, not only to provide educational and clinical learning opportunities for our students, but to also expand access to healthcare services in underserved communities and promote social and occupational justice for the individuals we serve.
