Colleen Spingarn, M.S.

Professor Spingarn joined the Physician Assistant Program faculty in January 2025. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The College of New Jersey in 2012. Prior to attending PA school, she worked as a mental health associate with inpatient eating disorders, then as a research assistant with with oncologic clinical trials. She received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Stony Brook University in 2017.

Her clinical experience is in all levels of inpatient pediatric medicine, ranging from well-baby to pediatric intensive care, and in pediatric orthopedic surgery. She will continue her clinical practice in primary care at the Rutgers H.O.P.E. Clinic. Professor Spingarn is an educator in skills for patient assessment, clinical skills labs, simulation, professional practice issues, and is involved with medical modules. She is also a member of the clinical education team.
