About
David Kietrys, PT, Ph.D., OCS, FCPP received a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Delaware and a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy from Hahnemann University (now Drexel University). He earned a Ph.D. degree from Temple University in 2010.
He is an ABPTS certified specialist in Orthopaedic Physcial Therapy. He serves on the International Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy, and as a manuscript review for several other journals. Dr. Kietrys is an Associate Professor and Assistant Vice-Chair of the Department of Rehabilitation and Movement Sciences. He teaches in the musculoskeletal tract and oversees the DPT South program on the Blackwood campus.
Dr. Kietrys’ research interests are in disability and rehabilitation issues in people living with HIV and HIV-related peripheral neuropathy. He has published numerous articles and book chapters on the topic, and has presented his work at national and international conferences.

Research Interests
Dr. Kietrys’ current research is focused on disability issues in persons living with HIV infection. In particular, he is interested in HIV-related peripheral neuropathy and its effects on quality of life and function, and PT interventions for persons with HIV-related peripheral neuropathy and/or HIV-related chronic pain.
