About

As an educator, my research has focused on training and educating dietitians, health professionals, and students on nutrition-focused physical examination and dysphagia screening, clinical nutrition topics including nutrition support therapy, and advanced practice topics in nutrition and dietetics education, credentialing, and practice. Much of my prior research has involved survey methodology and qualitative research, including recent work on food insecurity of health professions students. As an educator, I strive to support my students to achieve academic and professional success. Studying food insecurity and implementing strategies to address the issue is aligned with my goals as an educator.
