Please join us for Diagnostic Overshadowing, a webinar presented by Kenneth Gill, Ph.D., of Rutgers School of Health Professions, on Tuesday, October 20, from 3 to 4 p.m. Diagnostic overshadowing occurs when a primary diagnosis, particularly a psychiatric diagnosis, leads to other health concerns being overlooked. Dr. Gill will explore why this happens, its potentially serious consequences, and strategies to recognize and prevent it. The webinar is presented by the Institute for Inpatient Psychiatric Rehabilitation and the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions, with sponsorship from the New Jersey Department of Health and the New Jersey Department of Human Services.
