Alyssa Carbajal, DScPAS, PA-C  7/24/23 Dr. Carbajal received her Bachelor of Science degree from Monmouth University, Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from Rutger’s University – SHRP Physician Assistant Program, and Doctor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree with a concentration in Educational Leadership from MCPHS. Her clinical experience includes urgent care and primary care medicine. She joined the Physician Assistant faculty in June of 2015 and continues to practice primary care at the HOPE clinic. Dr. Carbajal is an educator in the Skills for Patient Assessment (SPA) course and serves as a small group facilitator for multiple courses within the program. In her role as Assistant Director of Clinical Education, she schedules Supervised Clinical Practice Experiences (SCPEs) for all clinical students, oversees Post-Rotation Examinations, and is a Site Liaison between the RUPA program and clinical sites. Dr. Carbajal`s research interests include improving patient care outcomes in primary care, Domestic Violence Awareness, PA faculty and student mentorship, reflection as an educational tool, and Competency-Based Medical Education.
