Purpose

This policy outlines steps for Second Baccalaureate degree granted solely by SHP.

Accountability

The Program Director, in consultation with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs is responsible for compliance of the policy. The SHP Registrar is responsible for implementation of the policy.

Policy

The SHP will award a second baccalaureate degree to students if they have graduated with their first baccalaureate degree (Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science) from a United States regionally accredited college or university, or from an international university that is accredited in their own country.* International students must provide a transcript evaluation from an approved transcript evaluation company. The final 30 of the last 42 credits must be completed at the School of Health Professions. Students must meet program degree requirements and have a minimum of 30 credits in the SHP major.
