Through individual and group counseling, the clinic addresses a variety of mental health concerns and fosters recovery-oriented practices rooted in the department’s commitment to counseling and mental wellness.
The Rutgers Counseling Clinic, housed within the Department of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions, is a counseling training clinic that operates during the fall and spring semesters.
We offer free counseling services to Rutgers students, faculty, and staff, as well as to residents throughout New Jersey. Services are available both in person at the Rutgers Busch campus and through telehealth, providing accessible care to a wide range of clients. The clinic is staffed by master’s and doctoral-level counseling interns who are supervised by licensed faculty, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care while supporting the professional development of emerging counselors.
