Contact

  1. Assists students with various types of student service issues and provides non-academic student support including student events, workshops, career services, etc. 
  2. Connects students with key student support services (mental health services & student health services) when students are in need of assistance dealing with difficult health and wellness issues.
  3. Acts as the initial point of contact for students who may be threats to themselves or threats to others (if emergency should call 911). Student Affairs will call in and facilitate an RBHS Threat Assessment Team to address the issue (members include Chief of Public Safety, Rutgers Office of General Counsel, RBHS Chancellors Office, Department Head of both Student Wellness and Student Health & SHP Dean’s Office).
  4. Manages the completion of student compliance trainings including: Academic Integrity, Not Anymore, Health stream Compliance courses (HIPAA & Rutgers Code of Conduct) as well as the completion of the SHP On-Line Welcome Session or attendance in the Fall In-Person Welcome Session.
  5. Supports the SHP Alumni Association, Student Government, Student Senate and Student Organizations as well as coordinates the SHP General Scholarship Application process.
  6. Facilitates Academic Decision and Grade Reviews, Criminal Background Check reviews, Disciplinary Hearings and Student Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeals.
  7. Facilitates Student Success Monthly Seminar Series (dealing with stress, organizational skills, resume writing, social media training, cultural sensitivity training, etc.). Student Affairs is willing to develop workshops for all programs/students based on the current needs.
