The Rutgers SHP-Office of Student Affairs is devoted to providing students with disabilities the tools, reasonable accommodations, and support services to participate fully in the academic environment. Disability Services empowers students with disabilities to realize their academic and personal potential by facilitating equal access and coordinating reasonable accommodations and support services for eligible students. In keeping with this objective, students are expected and encouraged to utilize the resources of Disability Services to the degree they determine necessary. Although a significant degree of independence is expected of students, Disability Services is available to assist, should the need arise.
