The Rutgers School of Health Professions
The Rutgers School of Health Professions has over 36 year history and reputation of providing quality education for entry level allied health professions and advanced education for health providers to move our graduate into specialty and advanced practice roles. We currently have 40 programs ranging from post high school through post- doctoral level education. Our presence in Health Sciences at Newark, Scotch Plains, Piscataway, and Blackwood campuses, as well as On-line, depicts the character of Rutgers, the State University
of New Jersey, as a statewide resource for education, health care, research and community service. Our commitment to deliver quality allied health education through web-based technologies has expanded our
scope nationally. Today more than 35% of our students are allied health professionals taking courses and earning a degree online.
Rutgers SHP strives to meet the emerging health care workforce needs. Our mission is to educate students
to become socially responsible health professionals who will function competently, creatively and collaboratively in a dynamic health care environment. The philosophy of the Rutgers School of Health Related Professions is
